Q & A
WHAT DO I WEAR?
Dress for the weather. Jeans, boots, or sneakers are recommended. Cleated soles or working/hiking boots are strongly discouraged. NO sandals, clogs, or high heels.
DO YOU RIDE IN A LINE?
Absolutely not! Our horses are working cow horses and they love their job and are very well behaved. This allows riders to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. There will be places where you are required to ride head to tail due to the nature of the trails, but we encourage riders to ride next to one another or out and about whenever terrain permits.
IS THERE A WEIGHT LIMIT?
Yes. There is a 250lb weight limit that is strictly enforced. Scales are provided at check in and all riders must weigh in. It's a matter of safety, and in the case of horses and riders, it's also a matter of the soundness and health of the horses involved.
CAN WE RUN?
Our trail rides are basic and are for any level of experience, but we do not allowing running. However, we offer the Rough & Ready trail ride for EXPERIENCED RIDERS ONLY.
DO YOU HAVE SCHEDULED TIMES?
No. We are a working cattle operation, so rides are by reservation only.
CAN MY CHILD RIDE IN FRONT OF ME?
No. We only allow one rider per horse.
WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
We ride in all weather including rain and snow. However, if the weather poses a dangerous threat, we will call you to reschedule your trail ride or lesson.
CAN I GET A GROUP DISCOUNT?
No. We have a limit of 10 riders per group.
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?
Age minimum for trail rides is 7, but we offer a Lil' Wrangler Ride for children 6 and under where we will lead your child on their own trail ride throughout our creek bottom.
